40 years ago, Davtron designed and manufactured our 811 series clock for aircraft. This 811 series clock was installed in Air Force One aircraft SAM 26000 and SAM 27000. Davtron clocks have been installed on all Air Force One planes since 1974. With this clock's long esteemed history, it will surely be a topic of conversation for those not necessarily sitting in your cockpit. There are four 811 Series clocks installed on Air Force One aircraft SAM 26000 and SAM 27000. The SAM 27000 entered service in 1972 and for the next 29 years was used as the primary aircraft for seven US Presidents: Richard Nixon, Gerald Ford, Jimmy Carter, Ronald Reagan, George H.W. Bush, Bill Clinton and George W. Bush. " I highly recommend the Davtron D811C. It is a time MASTERPIECE. The face is easy to read from any angle and the functions are extremely easy to use. I have checked it against WWV several time and it is accurate to the second. It is interesting to use the elapsed time function when doing projects at my desk Best of all it looks like it should be in the cockpit of the newest aircraft of the fleet. A unique feature are the LED lights on the back of the unit. They can serve efficiently as a night light on either HI or LO. I requested the Northwest 747 as my aircraft on the face along with my name and CAPTAIN RETIRED. What an honor to display this unit on my desk in the office. Just looking at it reminds me of 30+ years of flying. The time piece is only part of the great package. The crafted wood box it was delivered in is an example of the craftsmanship also displayed in the clock. It can be used for several things and is able to be displayed, not hidden away. Power supply plug needed to operate Displays and Backlight; coin-cell battery is used for the unit keeping time when not plugged in.
This D811C is an aviation designed clock that is offered in an Aviator Desk Clock package. Davtron designed the D811C Aviator Desk Clock with the same specs we use for aviation installation. The 9 volt power plug operates the displays and LED backlight. The coin cell memory battery keeps the clock IC running when unit is not plugged in. International customers based on their region will receive a 9 volt power plug with adapters.
